Top tips for happy herbs!

Jan 21, 2022

We’re stocked to the brim with our fresh herb collection, which means it’s time to get planting!

No matter the size of your garden, herbs can help so much with our wellbeing. Put them in pots, on a windowsill or in the border. As long as you follow the handy tips below you will have happy herbs in no time, no experience necessary!

– Drainage is key. Most herbs prefer moist, but well-drained soil with plenty of sun. Very wet soils will not produce happy herbs.

– Not too much fertiliser. If too much fertilizer is used, plants will produce large amounts of foliage with low quality flavour. We stock specialist herb fertiliser at Bumbles so worry not!

– Keep it simple. If you’re new to gardening, we suggest beginning with the easy growing herbs which include Basil, Rosemary, Coriander, Thyme, Sage and Mint. Perfect start to taking your cooking and cocktails to the next level!

Happy growing from us all at Bumbles – don’t forget we’re always happy to offer advice. Plus we have lots of other gardening tips & tricks in our ‘help & advice‘ section.
