Stephanotis Floribunda ‘Madagascar Jasmine’

Mar 16, 2022

Our Stephanotis Floribunda are bursting into flower and filling the indoor glasshouse with its wonderful jasmine scent – this is top of the Bumbles list this month!

Also known as Madagascar jasmine, floradora or bridal wreath, it is commonly used in wedding bouquets and was awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit (AGM).

Stephanotis floribunda has dark green leaves and very fragrant white jasmine-scented flowers, which can last from spring through to autumn. Although the flowers and fragrance are similar, this is not the same as a jasmine plant. If your plant is very happy, you may find your jasmine bearing fruit! This isn’t edible, but it’s worth saving the seeds to sow.

Come and enjoy the fragrance in the glasshouse at Bumbles!
