We are loving these new honeycomb ‘Bee Kind’ pots here at Bumbles! They come in a range of sizes and are available now.
The ‘Bee Kind’ range of plant pots produced by Woodlodge, supports the Bee Conservation Trust. The trust was created out of concerns for the ‘serious decline’ of bumblebees. According to the Trust, in the last 80 years our bumblebee populations have crashed; two species have become extinct nationally. The Trust’s vision is ‘to create world where bumblebees are thriving and valued’, with a mission to increase the number and distribution of bumblebees. We recommend visiting the Bee Conservation Trust website if you would like to get involved.
We can all do our bit to support Bumble bees. Planting flowers rich in pollen and nectar, such as lavender, crocus & hydrangeas, help bees to find the food they need. Haven’t got room to plant a flower meadow in your garden? You might be pleased to know planting bee-friendly, nectar rich flowers in pots is a great alternative and just as friendly! Planting in pots helps give bees the foraging environment they need to survive and thrive in our gardens. Which means you can help bees in even the smallest spaces in your garden, transforming a patio, balcony or even window sill into a haven for bees!
Head down to Bumbles and pick up some bee-friendly plants and pots for your garden and outside spaces. We look forward to seeing you soon.
